Another week gone by... but again, so many miracles :)
Sandra is continuing to progress so quickly. After coming to Church last Sunday she couldn't stop talking about it all week. She kept talking about how much it had already changed her life. That she wakes up in the mornings so eager to face the day, whereas in the past it was such a struggle to even Wake up. But there really is a light growing in her... she is amazing. I just feel so blessed to be teaching her :)
We also met with Audrey again... who is also AMAZING. She is so Darling... and so so sincere We taught the restoration and set a baptismal date with her! She is so open to all we teach. She had started the Book of Mormon the night before, and said she wished she'd have started sooner. She LOVES it! She said she was so excited for her kids to take a nap so she could get back to reading :) When we talked about Moroni's promise and having a sincere heart and real intent, she just kept saying, '' Oui, ca c'est moi!''- yes, that's me! She smiles so much, too. REally, she's just amazing.
We've had so many more miracles too... other friends we've found and started teaching. Like Samuel who we found smoking with his friends last month (but who has now invited us back for our second lesson!), or Bangalay, the brother of a less active we work with, who is excited to read the Book of Mormon and who has such a strong testimony of God. So many miracles and so many blessings :)
Also, this week we had our interviews with President... I love that man. He is amazing. We have the most wonderful mission president. But we talked about consecration and how to really be consecrated. He talked about the law of Consecration in pioneer times (or the united order), and how the reason it failed was because of a lack of love. People let jealousy into their hearts and forget that we really are all brothers and sisters... they forget that all our efforts should be dedicated to the Lord's service, not to helping ourselves or even just our own family or friends. Today I read in D&C 82 which introduces the law of consecration... I invite you all to read it this week, too. Imagine if you were called upon to live this law. How would you react? Would you be eager to give all your excess earnings and food to others? I think imagining this circumstance helped me to reflect a lot on the love I have for these people and for the Lord. I do love these people so much... but there is a lot more love to be had. So my invitation (and my own goal) for this week is for everyone to turn outward just a little more... so that ''every man seeking the interest of his neighbor, and doing all things with an eye single to the glory of God''.
True consecration is more than giving the lord our might, mind, and strength... we have to have that LOVE :) The pure love of Christ that really sees everyone as the brother and sister that they are. We are all called to serve the Lord. The moment we are baptized, we promise to mourn with those that mourn and comfort those in need. To stand as witnesses of Christ. To always remember him and take his name upon us... We covenanted to do so with our HEART, MIGHT, MIND, AND STRENGTH. Not just our heart, or just our strength. If we consecrate our efforts to serving our brothers and sisters, then ''may ye stand blameless before God at the last day'' :) When we are in the service of our fellow beings, we are only in the service of our God. There's a reason Christ said to Peter, if ye love me, feed my sheep. Christ needs each of us to go forth and feed his sheep. Physically, and spiritually. To bring in those lost sheep. To help them feel the joy and love of the gospel of Christ. So reflect this week on how you can turn out and REALLY serve him with all your heart, might, mind, and strength :)
I love you all! I really do :) I hope you have a wonderful week and you remember that moi, je vous aime, mais le Seigneur encore plus! :)
Love,
Sister Heather Shelley

p.s. Marie Claire went through the temple on Friday! I found out too late to plan to go with her, but I was able to stop by and see her before she went through that morning :) She was so surprised to see me, and it was the sweetest thing to see her and give her a big hug before she went in to the temple :) And to see my dear sister Beaumont... :) It was wonderful. So wonderful. Just another little drop of sunshine in a wonderful week! :)

also.. crazy side note. There's crazy transfer stuff going on right now... so for the next two weeks we'll be back in trio mode! Crazy!! And our trio will be covering ours and the French ward.... so it's going to be crazy. I'm a little stressed about it because we already have been so busy with just our area! So keep us in your prayers as we enter this whilrwind :)

Our car was frozen closed the other day! Ice rain, snow, and wind. Eek! WE had to chisel the ice off of all the windows!
